RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING & FLOOD PREVENTION EXPERTS
At McAdams Plumbing community involvement is a core principle of our business. Our community is what allows us to grow and feed our family, therefore it is our civic and moral responsibility to give back what we can. This page will display some of the different charities and organizations we are involved with. We are also always looking for more opportunities to get involved with our community, so if you know of an event that has great meaning to Broomfield let us know by sending an email to [email protected].
Another November goes by and another Heroes of A Precious Child event amazes. It is always so inspiring to see such a large group of people from all over the Colorado community join together as one to benefit our most powerful resource, our children. This year, over 600 guests attended the luncheon raising over $200,000.00 to help A Precious Child’s mission to support disadvantaged and displaced children in Colorado. If you have never been to a Heroes luncheon, I implore you to come to the next. You’ll leave with your faith in humanity restored, I guarantee.
On Sunday, November 2nd, the McAdams family had the privilege of meeting Nora Rozgony and the Rozgony family at the Team Nora Family Walk. In May, 8 year old Nora went to the hospital feeling very sick. After antibiotics had no effect on the illness she returned to her doctor where they discovered an aggressive tumor in her chest. After two rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove the mass, another tumor was found in her abdomen which led to emergency surgery.
The Rozgony family are continuing to accept donations to help offset the costs of treatments, travel and overnight stay fees, and loss of work due to the aggressive changes in the schedules of Nora’s parents. You can send your donations to the Cross of Christ Church located at 12099 Lowell Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020. You can also learn more about Nora and her family and donate via the CaringBridge website by following this link, or follow her story on her community Facebook page found here.
I can’t think of many better ways to support our local children than by providing them with the essentials they need to get back to school. That’s what makes A Precious Child’s Fill A Backpack Drive such an important staple of our community. McAdams Plumbing is a perennial drop off location for A Precious Child donations, but this year we were also able to assist by providing 50 backpacks for distribution. Hopefully we can double that donation next year! UPDATE: APC was able to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to 7,585 children in need this year. WOW!
This event was so much fun and so powerful. We love what Holy Family is doing with their school, with the community, and especially with the Broomfield teens. We were humbled by the speech from the student body president and amazed by the turnout for this event. It was a wonderful time and we absolutely can not wait for next year’s gala. Big shout out to Nicole Salter who did a fantastic job with the organizing. McAdams Plumbing is more excited than ever before to be connected to such an exceptional organization.
Hopefully March has been a great month for all of our friends and their families, it certainly has been good for McAdams Plumbing and A Precious Child. MP was so excited to have the opportunity to be the presenting sponsor for the 5th Annual Bowl for A Precious Child Fire vs Police Tournament. It was a great time with great people. While the Broomfield Police Department just edged out North Metro Fire for the win, the true winner was A Precious Child. They were able to raise over $9,500.00 to benefit their mission. Keep up the good work APC, can’t wait for next year!
For the first time since our inception McAdams Plumbing was asked if we would assist in the repairs to a Habitat for Humanity home. How could we say no?! This was a great opportunity to lend a hand to a Broomfield resident in need of some help. We were able to repipe the bath tub drain lines and waterlines as well as re-setting the bath tub itself. The project was a great success, see for yourself below. Thanks to Phil Dorth and the Habitat for Humanity crew for giving us an opportunity to give back!
Wow, we can’t believe it is the 3rd year and running for the Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon. This luncheon works to raise money and awareness to help APC in their mission of providing basic essentials to thousands of vulnerable children in Colorado. This year, with help from our friends at Ferguson, Farmers, and several private donors, we were able to help raise over $182,000.00! This makes this years luncheon the most successful to date! APC’s message is spreading fast and they are doing so much good it’s catching like fire. Make sure you get on board and see how great it is to be a part of such a wonderful cause. Thanks for all you do APC!
On Saturday August 24th, 2013 A Precious Child hosted the 2nd annual giveSPORTS equipment drive and fundraiser. The giveSPORTS program provides new and gently-used sports equipment to disadvantaged and displaced children by allowing them the opportunity to get involved in organized sports. Additionally, giveSPORTS provides scholarships to cover the costs of registration and other sports-related fees. This year we were able to raise over $4,000.00 and collect more than 14,000 pieces of sports equipment. Thanks to everyone who joined in for the cause, thousands of Colorado children will be able to participate in organized sports because of your generosity!
McAdams Plumbing is excited to let our community know that we are officially a drop off point for all the A Precious Child collections. We’ll have a permanent bucket over here so if you have backpacks, gently used sporting goods, or anything else you’re donating to A Precious Child, come on by. We are open from 8am-5pm on weekdays. Hope to see you!
On May 30, 2013 McAdams Plumbing officially opened the doors to our storefront location right in the heart of Broomfield. We are so excited to have a place where our customers can now interact with us face to face. We held a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce and invited out a bunch of our customers and friends. Almost 70 people showed up and enjoyed the wonderful food provided by Delvickios Incredible Italian of Broomfield. A special thank to Isaac of Delvickios for provided such a wonderful spread of great food. Everyone was raving about the lasagna! We would just like to sincerely thank everyone that has supported us and helped make this huge step possible. Nothing happens without great customers and a great community. So thank you!
Once again McAdams Plumbing is honored to be a part of a Broomfield local institution of learning. As of June 3rd we are officially sponsors of the Legacy High School athletic program. This is our chance to help out a Broomfield public school and ensure that all the students have a chance to participate in the sport of their choice. Look for our panel on the scoreboard in the gymnasium!
Sadie and Chris had the opportunity to jump in with A Precious Child and help out with the Eat Wings, Raise Funds Event sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings. On May 1st, 19 BWW locations were awesome enough to offer 10% of their total food sales to the Jessica Ghawi GiveSports program. Stationed at the Towncenter location in Westminster, we had a chance to thank hundreds of BWW patrons for their contribution. Always great to see businesses helping such a worthy cause!
What a great day! McAdams Plumbing was honored to be a part of the 4th Annual Bowl for A Precious Child – Fire vs. Police tournament. After many raffles, generous sponsor donations, and a dominate performance by the Broomfield Police Department, APC received over $10K! That’s an outstanding increase from last year and will help APC continue to take care of disadvantaged and displaced youth all over the Colorado. It couldn’t happen without all of the great volunteers, sponsors, and friends of A Precious Child. Thanks again everyone and congratulations on an outstanding community event!
Boy was this a great night, just ask anyone who attended! The Bacchanalian Society is Denver’s premier non-profit wine organization, founded to create an opportunity for professionals to learn about and enjoy wine while benefiting charity at the same time. This event was hosted at St. Cajetan’s church on the Community College of Denver campus. Over 100 people attended which raised $1,900.00 for A Precious Child’s mission. This will provide basic needs for 76 disadvantaged children and their families! No better cause that I can think of to drink wine for! Always excited to partner with this non-profit, they are awesome!
McAdams Plumbing is truly honored to have aligned our company with one of Broomfield’s great private school athletic programs at Holy Family High School. Keep an eye out for our logo up in the school gymnasium as well as on the back of the Tiger 5K Fun Run/Walk T-Shirts! We’ll also be out in attendance at a couple events this year, so if you see us be sure to say hi, we’d love to meet you!
As a veteran run business (Rick was an Army Ranger and Chris was an Airman with the USAF) McAdams Plumbing recognizes the importance of taking care of our U.S. Military veterans. That’s why we have linked ourselves up with the Semper Fi Fund, a nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The Semper Fi Fund (SFF) provides relief for financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as assistance for those with perpetuating needs. Learn more about the services they offer and how to support their causes here. McAdams Plumbing will offer updated events listings here on our community page, and blog posts when we can. Thanks to all who have served!
Every year around the holiday season A Precious Child sets up a “Giving Tree” at FlatIron Crossing Mall. This tree consists of small cards that represent the holiday gift wishes of marginalized children in the Colorado area. People volunteer to take these cards and purchase some or all of the gifts to ensure that every child in Colorado gets the Christmas morning they deserve. McAdams Plumbing volunteered to man the booth for a night, and we were simply overwhelmed at the response of the community. In 2012 our local residents provided gifts to over 5,000 children! That’s simply amazing! Thanks to everyone who helped make this a success, and remember to look out for the Giving Tree next year.
The Toys for Tots foundation is the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to collect new, unwrapped toys to be distributed as holiday gifts for less fortunate Children. Our supplier, Ferguson Enterprises, is proudly partnering with Toys for Tots this year. The Ferguson Xpress outlet, located at 8175 Sheridan Blvd, Unit S Arvada, CO 80003, will be a donation center for anyone interested in donating a toy for the drive. Also, if McAdams Plumbing is providing a service for you and you would like to donate a toy, please feel free to pass it along to your plumber and he’ll make sure it gets where it needs to be. This season is the time for giving, so let’s make sure we are taking care of each other out there!
The Annual Heroes of A Precious Child Luncheon is the flagship fundraiser for A Precious Child, and just as importantly, it is an opportunity for the organization to educate and inspire people about the valuable programs they provide for disadvantaged and displaced children and families. MP had the privilege of being a table captain for the event, so we managed to fill our seats with friends, customers, and business partners. This was an amazing event that brought 485 members of the Broomfield community out whom generously donated $130,000 to the charity! This will help A Precious Child grow their roots in the community and expand their charitable reach. We’re so happy we had the opportunity to be involved with this and hope that everyone stops by the A Precious Child website to see how they can get involved and help out.
On Sunday, October 7, 2012 Denver hosted a leg of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for its 20th year. The Komen organization works tirelessly to raise funds and assist in a search for the cure for cancer. The organization has affiliates all over the United States working together which give 25% of net proceeds to directly support breast cancer research. The Denver affiliate of the Susan G. Komen organization can be explored here. McAdams Plumbing was excited to be out that morning participating in the event. It was a little chilly Sunday morning but we bundled up and offered our services for the post-race clean-up. If you didn’t get a chance to make it out here’s some pictures of the festivities! Happy fall everyone!
As a part of McAdams Plumbing’s promise to give back to the community we have partnered up with Broomfield’s own A Precious Child charity. This not-for-profit works to ensure that disadvantaged and displaced children in Colorado have their basic needs met in every way from clothing and toys to school supplies. McAdams Plumbing will be working closely with A.P.C. offering both financial and manpower support whenever possible. This is an organization that deserves the support of its community and we are honored to be able to assist.
On behalf of Jessica Redfield Ghawi, a victim of the theatre shooting in Aurora, and Kroenke Sports Charities, A Precious Child held a sports equipment drive on Saturday, September 8th, from 7am to noon. They collected new and gently used sports equipment as well as cash donations. The sports equipment will be distributed to children and youth affected by the Colorado fires as well as to those who are disadvantaged or displaced, while the monetary donations will be used for the giveSPORTS scholarship fund. This was another event we were so honored to be a part of and what an amazing turn out we had for such a great cause. Update – The results are in! Colorado residents donated over 25,000 equipment items and over $11,000.00 for the scholarship fund! Outstanding! So proud to be a Colorado resident!

There has also been a scholarship set up in Jessica Ghawi’s name to cover the costs of registration, league and tournament fees, sports equipment, and other related expenses so that disadvantaged children in Colorado will have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
What a great time we had at the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce‘s annual Membership appreciation picnic. This was our first one and it turned out to be a great place to meet other local business owners and learn about some of the local not-for-profit organizations like FISH and the Broomfield Veteran’s Memorial Museum. We got to enjoy great food and drink from DD’s Sourdough Pizza, Gordon Biersch, and Abbott’s Frozen Custard. We had face painting done by Charlotte from About Face Painting and met Amy Young of Mountain Girl Fitness, who offers great personal training packages to Colorado women. Can’t say enough good things about the people in our community. Thank you all!
As a member of the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce McAdams Plumbing will be celebrating the launch of our new company brand with a community Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This event will take place on Monday, July 30, at 9:30am, at the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce located at 2095 W. 6th Avenue, Suite 109, Broomfield, CO 80020 (map). We invite all of our friends in the community to come out and join us as we celebrate the new face of McAdams Plumbing.
Donating blood is one of the easiest and most important acts an individual can do for their community. The need for blood is a great one considering one out of every seven patients entering a hospital requires a blood transfusion. Over 4.5 million patients need blood transfusions each year in the United States and Canada. McAdams Plumbing recognizes the significance of this need which is why we are committed to having at least one team member donate to Bonfils Blood Center every 60 days. If you are interested in getting involved with Bonfils you can click here to find out if you are eligible and then click here to find a donation center near you.
