Why Me?

In most homes it’s not a matter of “if” you’ll suffer through a plumbing emergency, but “when” one might occur.

According to several national insurance companies, 25 percent of the $6.8 billion in property damage insurance claims in 2012 were a result of water damage, costing homeowners an average of $3600+ per incident.

To protect you from becoming one of these statistics, McAdams Plumbing recommends protecting pipes that are vulnerable to weather, having your home inspected regularly by a licensed plumber, and the installation of a WaterCop.

WaterCop

WaterCop is a wireless automatic water shut-off valve designed to prevent flood damage and protect your home 24/7.

Leak Protection

McAdams Plumbing, Inc. is an authorized installer and dealer of the patented WaterCop system which greatly reduces the chances of catastrophic water damage at a fraction of the cost of most insurance deductibles. WaterCop may even qualify you for an insurance discount of 5-7% (check with you insurance agent).

The WaterCop system includes an automatic valve and multiple flood and temperature sensors, and the Pro Series includes a control panel.

Leak Prevention

Flood sensors actively monitor specific leak-prone areas within your home and notify the WaterCop automatic shut off valve when pooling water is detected.

The device installs on your main water supply line where it enters the home and will automatically turn off the water when when the sensors contact water.

The WaterCop also can be operated by using the open/close buttons on the front of the actuator, or remotely with many home security systems. The ProSeries allows you to open and close the valve from the Pro Panel.

DynaQuip, which manufactures the WaterCop, recommends the automatic water shutoff valve be installed by an approved, licensed, certified plumber.

McAdams Plumbing is an official vendor of WaterCop, and we can install this system at your home. Call 303-465-1900 today to discuss how WaterCop can protect your home from major water damage.
