Buildup inside drainpipes is an unavoidable result of living in your home.

Buildup is caused from grease, food, soap sludge, etc. After years of use, the buildup thickens and reduces the draining ability of pipes.

The best way of fixing this problem is through high pressure water jetting (aka scour jetting).

This is the process of sending a high pressure water stream down into your pipes that works to break apart that buildup and wash it away. Jetting removes buildups completely, making it the leading solution for cleaning heavy residue out of drain pipes.

 

This process takes pipes back to near new condition in an environmentally safe manner.

 Equipment

McAdams Plumbing uses a portable, hand-held high pressure water jetting unit that weighs less than 25 pounds. This unit provides a full 1500psi off of a standard 15amp circuit, making it extremely convenient for residential use.

It is a fully inclosed unit, meaning it is a quiet and very clean service. The hose itself comes with two interchangeable tips, the thruster and the flusher.

The thruster tip uses a single large stream of forward flowing water in order to force a path through heavily clogged drain pipes along with three rear jets to clear the path.

The flusher combines one forward flowing jet with six rear flowing jets. The forward jet keeps the keeps debris moving forward while the rear jets scour the entire pipe, breaking up buildup and clearing the thick residue.
