Merry Christmas everyone! I know, I know, I’m a day early. But to be honest, I really don’t want to even look at my computer on Christmas Day, so hopefully you won’t hold it against me.
I don’t know about you, but Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year. I’m a bit of a holiday sap. I love hanging out with my family, eating, drinking, and exchanging gifts. The decorations, the music, the festivities and traditions, it’s all so enjoyable.
I hope all of our friends out there are just as excited as I am. I hope you all get an opportunity to spend time with your family and friends and remember the true meaning of Christmas and the sacrifices that were made for us.
For all of those who must work on Christmas, I’d just like to say thank you. Whatever job it is you must perform, I hope you receive the appreciation you deserve for working when most others get to play. And hey, if you’re out there reading this while at work, write a comment below and maybe we can get over to you and spread some joy. Because really, isn’t that what it’s all about?
So whether you choose to spend time at home with your family, helping those in need, or celebrating with friends, have a blessed day and remember to always try and give more than you get. And for those with specific Christmas wishes, I hope you get exactly what you hoped for!
It’s safe to say that as you read this I’ll be sipping mulled cider by a roaring fire and enjoying my precious time with those I love most. Or watching The Muppet Christmas Carol, you know, one or the other…
So from our family to yours, Merry Christmas.
-Chris

]]>On Sunday, November 2nd, the McAdams family had the privilege of meeting Nora Rozgony and the Rozgony family at the Team Nora Family Walk.
In May, 8 year old Nora went to the hospital feeling very sick. After antibiotics had no effect on the illness she returned to her doctor where they discovered an aggressive tumor in her chest.
After two rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove the mass, another tumor was found in her abdomen which led to emergency surgery.
Since then Nora and her family have been traveling to Boston for specialized care and treatment in an experimental drug trial at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
The Team Nora Family Walk was organized by friends of the family and the community of Red Leaf here in Broomfield. It was an amazing show of support with hundreds of residents walking, filling out get well cards, and creating chalk murals in support of Nora.
The family is continuing to accept donations to help offset the costs of treatments, travel and overnight stay fees, and loss of work due to the aggressive changes in the schedules of Nora’s parents. You can send your donations to the Cross of Christ Church located at 12099 Lowell Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020.
You can also learn more about Nora and her family and donate via the CaringBridge website by following this link, or follow her story on her community Facebook page found here.
On behalf of the McAdams family, I wish Nora a speedy recovery and want the Rozgony family to know they are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. If there’s anything we can do to help, we’d love to.
-Chris

Happy New Year everyone! Wednesday marks the first day of 2014 and what a wild ride 2013 has been.
McAdams Plumbing made a lot of strides in 2013. We hired a new Master plumber, we expanded our service area, we won another Super Service Award from Angie’s List, celebrated our first ever company Christmas party, and were able to offer more assistance to our charities and community than any year before.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers and their families, our friends, neighbors, vendors, and our co-workers for making 2013 such a blessed year. Without you folks out there supporting us and spreading our message we would not be where we are. Thank you so much!
We hope that in 2014 we can continue to grow, offering our great service to more and more Colorado families looking for a plumber to put an end to their searching. We hope that we can give even more back to the community this coming year, and maybe even organize some events of our own.
McAdams Plumbing will continue to listen to what our customers are saying so that we can be of better service to you. We are always learning and always open to suggestions.
All we ask of you is that you have a fun and safe new years celebration. Remember to be thankful for what the previous year has given you, but always look ahead to what can be done to make tomorrow greater than today.
All the best in the adventures of 2014!
-The McAdams Family

McAdams Plumbing is happy to announce that we are once again involved with A Precious Child‘s holiday gift program Precious Gift!
The Precious Gift program provides gifts to children who otherwise would not receive any during monumental times in their life such as birthdays and holidays. It is our goal to provide more than 6,000 children with a gift during the 2013 Holiday Season, and we cannot do it without your support!
During the holiday’s, APC collects the top three wishes of children in need and they partner with various churches, organizations, and individuals to fulfill each child’s wish!
Throughout the year, providing a gift during a child’s birthday can be difficult for a parent who is struggling. APC is able to provide children that come through our resource center with birthday bags that include cake mix, icing, candles, and a few gifts to help celebrate their special day!
There are a several ways you can get involved. You can make an online donation, individually sponsor a child to donate gifts (call APC at 303-466-4272), volunteer your time at the A Precious Child’s Giving Tree, which is located at the Flatirons Crossing Mall during the holiday season, or stop by McAdams Plumbing (6343 W 120th Ave Ste 102, Broomfield, CO 80020) to get a card from our Giving Tree, which gives the information of a child and their gift wishes. Gifts can be purchased and brought back to McAdams Plumbing and we will deliver the gifts directly to APC on December 6th.
Click here for a list of alternate drop off locations.
However you decide to get involved, know that your contribution will help bring joy to a less fortunate child this holiday season, and what better gift is there than that?
Thanks for all you do Colorado!

]]>The post 2nd Annual Jessica Gahwi Give Sports Drive! appeared first on McAdams Plumbing, Inc.
]]>It’s time for the 2nd Annual Jessica Gawhi Give Sports Drive! This event is hosted by Broomfield’s A Precious Child to honor the late Jessica Gawhi, who tragically died in the Aurora Theater shooting of 2012. To honor Jessica, who hoped to help children participate in youth sports programs, her family teamed up with A Precious Child to develop the Give Sports program.
The giveSPORTS program provides new and gently-used sports equipment to disadvantaged and displaced children by allowing them the opportunity to get involved in organized sports. Additionally, giveSPORTS provides scholarships to cover the costs of registration and other sports-related fees. Nearly 75 percent of children in low-income families rarely have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. Statistically, participation in extra-curricular sports significantly impacts short and long-term educational, emotional, behavioral, and physical outcomes for disadvantaged, poverty stricken youth.
Gov. Hickenlooper has written the following letter concerning the importance of the drive:
Hickenlooper’s Equipment Drive Letter
You can also read a statement from Denver Post columnist Benjamin Hochman here.
McAdams Plumbing will be out helping to collect donations in the Pepsi Center parking lot on 24/AUG/13 all morning. We will also serve as a drop off point for anyone looking to drop off gently used sporting goods. You can find the yellow bucket just inside our front door. Our business is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Thanks in advance!

]]>It’s time for the 2013 Fill A Backpack program brought to you by A Precious Child of Broomfield. This is an outstanding program and you better believe that every McAdams Plumbing employee will be contributing. Let’s here from A Precious Child about this event:
“Our young learners need you. The number of children living at or below the federal poverty rate has grown faster in Colorado than anywhere else in the nation. One of the most important factors in bringing children out of poverty is education and academic success. A Precious Child’s Fill A Backpack program strives to maximize academic potential for disadvantaged and displaced children by ensuring they have the supplies necessary to start school prepared to succeed. A Precious Child would like to ask you to sponsor our Fill A Backpack program. We need your help. In 2012, our program distributed more than 4,600 backpacks filled with schools supplies to children in need. We anticipate providing more than 6,000 backpacks filled with supplies this summer.”
So let’s all band together and do whatever we can to make sure these wonderful children get their best chance at an education. Thanks for all you do A Precious Child!
